Looking in the one direction; Niall keeps focus on cheerleaders.. not the basketball.

Byline: ADELINA CAMPOS

NIALL Horan tries in vain not to look in the direction of the scantily-clad cheerleaders in the States.

The One Direction star was sitting court side at a New York Knicks game yesterday but it was hard not to get distracted by the stunning girls performing in front of him.

The singer, from Mullingar, Co Westmeath, was joined at the basketball clash by bandmate Liam Payne. The boys chatted to E! News host Terrance J and his stunning girlfriend who got herself a picture with the 1D boys.

It certainly sounds as though Niall enjoyed himself. He tweeted afterwards: "The @nyknicks game was sooo sick tonight! was great to be there! thanks for having us."

And showing he's still a lovely humble boy despite his international fame, he was bowled over to have bumped into film director Spike Lee. "Absolute honour to have met Spike Lee tonight, the guys a legend and a HUGE knicks fan," he posted with a picture.

Niall also told fans how much he was looking forward to the next day and teased them with this: "Tomorrow night is gona be amazing! I literally won't sleep tonight I'm that excited! It's gona be hilarious! You'll see why !" He's talking about the band's appearance on Saturday Night Live with host Paul Rudd which sounds like it's going to be quite a treat.
