Loo rescue not bog standard.

A WOMAN had to be freed by firefighters when she became trapped falling off the toilet.

Her husband tried in vain to free his wife's leg, which was stuck between the wall and the WC, before calling the emergency service.

A crew took three hours to free the unnamed woman, believed to be in her 50s, by drilling a hole in the wall.

The incident occurred on Thursday in Knuzden, Lancs. She was distressed but not seriously injured.

Blackburn crew manager Craig Etherington said: "It was a very embarrassing situation for her but she and her husband were just relieved she wasn't seriously hurt."
