Long-stroke presses for deep-draw parts.
New long-stroke horizontal trim presses from Brown Machine LLC, Beaverton, Mich., are designed with extra stroke length to pre-punch and trim deep-draw containers in a progressive-trim application. The LP model can pre-punch and trim containers up to 8 in. deep while the LDP model can pre-punch and trim up to 12 in. deep.The increased stroke coupled with precise linear-guide platens eliminates the need for an intermediate trim press to pre-punch.
