Long-serving trio earn rewards.

VOLUNTEERS have been honoured for their long service.

Huddersfield Women's Royal Voluntary Service awards were given to Jenny Polley, Alan Schofield and Barbara Tyers by the Mayor of Kirklees, Clr David Ridgway.

Jenny has volunteered with the service for 27 years while Alan has notched up a 15-year stint helping people.

Alan was also given the Diamond Champion award for volunteers over the age of 60, as was new volunteer Barbara.
