London Olympics 2012 Day 16: Bryant Leads US Dream Team on Final Day, Where to Watch Live.

The final day of the London Olympics 2012 still has plenty of medal action to offer with as many 10 disciplines offering as many as 15 events before the closing ceremony at

9 pm

BST

. The US' late medal push in athletics has seen them establish a healthy lead over rivals China in the medals table; the Americans have 102 to the Chinese's 87, meaning the Asian country will have to win more than a third of all the medals on offer today... possible but not probable. Meanwhile, the host nation holds on to third despite have only 62 medals to the Russian Federation's 78 because of the higher count of gold medals - 28 to 21 in favour of Team GB. The Republic of Korea rounds out the top five, with 13 gold medals and 27 overall.

Check out a brief preview of Day 16 at the London Olympics 2012 (all times

BST

):

Athletics

: There is just the one track event today but it's a big one - the men's marathon at

11 am

. The field includes a number of world-class stars but the brightest among them is probably Kenya's Wilson Kipsang Kiprotich. The Kenyan is one of only two men (the other is Ethiopian Haile Gebreselassie) to finish the London Marathon in under two hours and five minutes. Kiprotich has the fastest personal best among the runners for the Olympics' marathon event - 2:03.42, which is the tiniest fraction of a second off the world record held by compatriot Patrick Makau Musyoki. Kiprotich will be joined, probably, at the top end of the field by two other Kenyans - Abel Kirui (personal best of 2:05.04) and Emmanuel Kipchirchir Mutai (personal best of 2:04.40). Other runners in the same mark are the Ethiopian trio of Ayele Abshero (2:04.23), Gete Feleke (2:04.50) and Dino Sefir (2:04.50). British interest will center on Lee Merrien (2:13.41) and Scott Overall (2:10.55).

Basketball

: The bronze medal match for the men's basketball event starts at

11 am

and will be contested by Argentina and Russia. The big ticket match - arguably the most high-profile event of the day - will see the US' NBA Dream Team look to defend their title from four years ago in a re-match of that final. Back in 2008, in Beijing, the Americans shaded Spain 118 - 107 to claim their 14th Olympic gold in the sport. The defending champions will be lead by the likes of LA Lakers' Kobe Bryant, the New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony and the Miami Heats' Lebron James and will tip-off at

3 pm

.

Boxing

: There will be five bouts today - all from the men's side of things. The glamour of the basketball final aside, this is where most Team GB fans will be focussed for the hosts have two medal hopes in the ring. Welshman Freddie Evans will face Kazakhstan's Serik Sapiyev, the second seed, at

2.15 pm

for the gold in the men's welter (69kg) class, while Anthony Joshua will take on Italian Roberto Cammarelle at

3.15

pm

for gold in the men's super heavy (+91kg) event. The other title bouts are between Tugstsogt Nyambayar of Mongolia and Robeisy Ramirez Carrazana of Cuba for the men's fly (52kg) at

1.30 pm

, top seed Vasyl Lomachenko of Ukraine and South Korean Soonchul Han for the men's light (60kg) at

1.45 pm

and Russian Egor Mekhontcev and Kazakhstan's Adilbek Niyazymbetov for the men's light heavy (81kg) at

2.45 pm

.

Cycling

: The men's cross-country run will start from Hadleigh Farm at

1.30 pm

, with British cyclist Liam Killeen in line-up four. Killeen has a world ranking of 35. The top three ranked cyclists will be Nino Schurter of Switzerland, Jaroslav Kulhavy of the Czech Republic and Julien Absalon of France, all of whom will be in line-up one.

Gymnastics (Rhythmic)

: The final event in the gymnastics calendar is the Group All-Around event, to be held at the Wembley Arena and start at

1.30 pm

. The first final rotation will use five balls. The second rotation will start at

2.16 pm

and use three ribbons and two hoops.

Handball

: The men's handball event starts at

11 am

with the bronze medal match between Croatia and Hungary. The gold will be settled between Sweden and France at the Basketball Arena at

3 pm

.

Pentathlon

: The women's modern pentathlon will start with the fencing event, at the Copper Box, at

8 am

in the morning with Mhairi Spence and Samantha Murray leading the British charge; the former is ranked third in the world and the latter tenth. The athletes will then shift to the Aquatics Centre at

12.35 pm

for the swimming event, where Spence is in Heat Four and Murray in Five. Greenwich Park will host the discipline's riding event, at

2.35 pm

and the combined event at

6 pm

.

Volleyball

: The men's volleyball event starts at

9.30 am

with the bronze medal match between Bulgaria and Italy. The gold will be settled between Russia and Brazil at Earls Court at

1 pm

.

with classification matches for seventh between the US and Australia and for fifth between Spain and Hungary at

and the gold between Croatia and Italy at

.

Wrestling

8.30 am

and

respectively. The repechage, bronze and gold medal bouts will start from
