Lolo strikes a pregnant pose & how.

A HEAVILY pregnant Karisma Kapoor had a happy outing in Mumbai recently.

Looking resplendent in a white and pink salwar kameez, Lolo had come to attend a wedding.

She kept her look largely fussfree, easy and functional -- a loose kurta by her favourite designer Manish Malhotra, a Bottega Venetta knot clutch in red and flat silver metallic chappals to go with it.

Karisma wore cute hair clips that were perfect for her not- as- chiselled- asusual baby face. No jewellery, hair pulled back and minimum make- up -- but Karisma looked as perfectly turned- out as always.

Karisma, married to Delhibased entrepreneur Sanjay Kapoor, is expecting her second baby. She seemed comfortable posing for shutterbugs.

Bollywood heroines usually go off the radar when they're heavily pregnant. Karisma's contemporaries -- Raveena Tandon, Sonali Bendre and Twinkle Khanna -- didn't make many public appearances when they were expecting.

Unlike their counterparts abroad, showing off a baby bump isn't considered ' good' for an actress's image in India.

One remembers Raveena being photographed a couple of times when she was pregnant. She would always be dressed in black and wear too much make- up, an obvious attempt to distract.

But as she posed smiling for the cameras, there were no signs of insecurity in Karisma. And why would there be? She seems to be quite content playing the perfect homemaker, away from the limelight.
