Lloyd Webber reflects on a lifetime in music.

CELLIST Julian Lloyd Webber performs in a special concert at New Brighton next week.

The world-famous musician will take his audience on a musical journey into his extraordinary life when he visits the Floral Pavilion on April 12.

He will be joined on stage by his cellist wife Jiaxin Lloyd Webber, and by pian W -ist Pam Chowhan, to perform work from across his varied, high-profile career.

And there is also a chance for fellow cellists to bring their own instruments and join the maestro on stage.

Julian Lloyd Webber will W recount stories and anecdotes of touring, recording sessions, concerts and TV shows to link with rare video footage of him talking and performing with Nigel Kennedy, Elton John, Katherine Jenkins, Tim Rice, Yehudi Menhuin, Cleo Laine and Stephane Grappelli.

The show will see works performed from Faure's Elegy, Andrew Lloyd WebW -ber's The Music of the Night, Rachmaninov's Cello Sonata through to composers like his father, William Lloyd Webber, Frank Bridge, JFrank Bridge, J W S Bach and Philip Glass.

For this special performance, Julian is inviting fellow cellists to bring along their own instrument to perform on stage. Julian says: "I look forward to sharing some incredible videos and stories with you!

"It will be a fun evening suitable for all families and children."

The concert takes place at .the Floral Pavilion on April 12, at 7.30pm. Tickets are PS25 on 0151-666 0000.
