Llandeilo antiques and collectables fair.

THE monthly antiques and collectables fair at Llandeilo takes place today at the Civic Hall which is located near the main car park.

There will be a good selection of goods on offer and a specialist in silver, clocks and watches will be in attendance.

A fresh stall to the fair will again be present for the second time after a very successful debut, offering an unusual array of items to the discerning buyer. These are a product of years of collecting.

Gaudy Welsh china will again be on display having proved to be quite a draw for some visitors from the South Wales Valleys who had previously read about it in an earlier advertisement.

The visitors were quite fascinated by its history and rich colours and lustre as they were not familiar with this type of 19th century china. Gaudy Welsh jugs, mugs, bowls etc will be for sale. Many people are more familiar with the term "Swansea Cottage" for this china even though very little was produced locally at Swansea and Llanelli, most of it being produced by the Staffordshire Potteries.

Delicious home baking will be available at reasonable prices. | Doors are open from 10am until 3.45pm. Admission 50p, accompanied children free. Call 01554 751350 with inquiries.
