Living Next Door could shake up Thyestes betting.

VESPER BELL was yesterday installed 7-1 favourite for Thursday's Goffs Thyestes Chase by Paddy Power, but the bookmaker believes 10-1 chance Living Next Door will usurp him if making the cut for the [euro]100,000 event, writes Jessica Lamb. Trainer Tony Martin won the race with reserve Dun Doire in 2006, who was sent off 9-4 favourite, and will be bidding for a second success if Living Next Door gets the 11 withdrawals he needs to make the 18-runner field.

Topweights Quito De La Roque and Prince De Beauchene ran at Thurles yesterday and Ispso Du Berlais, eighth on the list, is set to be rerouted to Naas on Saturday. Several others above Living Next Door have other entries, including in the shorter Leopardstown Handicap Chase two days later, leaving Paddy Power's traders confident that John Breslin's contender will get a run.

Spokesman Paul Binfield said: "We've taken Ipsos Du Berlais out of the betting and think that Living Next Door is more likely to get in now, and will be favourite on the day."

Behind Vesper Bell in Paddy Power's market is his Willie Mullins-trained stablemate On His Own at 8-1, the same price as novice Los Amigos.

Los Amigos's trainer Jim Dreaper said: "He lacks experience but three miles on soft ground is fine for him and he is in good form. If he gets in, he will run."

Los Amigos needs three to come out and is likely to get his preferred ground. It is soft on the hurdle course at Gowran Park and soft to heavy in places on the chase course.
