Living: Fashion: STAR QUALITY; Eveningwear that's fit for a cele.

Byline: ZOE CHAMBERLAIN Lifestyle Editor Pictures by ADAM FRADGLEY Picture Editor

FROM the fantasy world of lap-dancers to the glitzy glamour of showbiz - it's all in a day's work for Midland fashion designer Su Tallack.

Commissioned by the Rocket Club to create costumes for their dancer's shows, Su took the 'rocket' name to another level by designing a whole collection based on the theme of space age icon Barbarella.

Su started out by designing a fitness range 15 years ago before opening her own shop called And Co. by Susan Tallack in Kingstanding and expanding into clubwear. Today, she is based in Sutton Coldfield and has moved into stunning eveningwear. Her label is stocked in one of Birmingham's top designer shops.

She also does promotional and calendar work, recently designing outfits covered in tyre marks for Pirelli.

Su, whose daughter Hayley modelled for our shoot, said: 'The dresses I make are similar to those you see the celebs wearing at the premieres. 'I like to encourage women to be a bit daring by choosing lower backs and higher splits so that they stand out from the crowd.'
