Living: Caravans - Tried & tested.

PT PROFILES CARAVAN STEPPA Cost: pounds 35 (pounds 5 p&p); optional plastic Mudfeet pounds 10.

Call: 01793 481960 This caravan step weighs around 5kg - quite hefty really, and more than twicethe weight of even an average double

step. However, it does fold up to an admirably convenient, portable size and has adjustable legs to compensate for sloping surfaces. We reckon this is quite an impressive feature. The optional plastic 'mudfeet' provide some extra stability, and if the step were lighter in weight, too, it would be an outright winner with us.

CARAVIEWS TELEVISUAL REAR-VIEW SYSTEM Cost: pounds 528.75 for a 5.6 inch kit. Call: 02392 258474 E-mail: caraviews@aol.com We were very impressed when we took this system on tow.

Combined with mirrors, it provides excellent visibility and doubles as a TV in the van.
