Lives liquidated.

Millions of words have been spoken and written recently about capital punishment and the death penalty (NCR, April 10-23), noting that it has not been carried out for more than 70 years here in Massachusetts. This is not quite accurate, though, for every day throughout our country (and that includes Massachusetts), thousands of undeniably innocent human beings are put to death legally by means of induced abortion.

This translates into more than a million little lives being legally liquidated every year. These dehumanized victims' deaths are ignored or denied by reporters and political candidates, even those who call themselves prolife.

If we are ever to restore sanity to our once-civilized nation, we must first restore to all human beings, before and after birth, their self-evident, Creator-endowed "unalienable" right to life protection.
