"The Science of Courtroom Litigation: Jury Research and Analytical Graphics," released by ALM Publishing (New York), attempts to show how to develop and test case themes using valid jury research techniques as well as create effective graphics that will ultimately help persuade the jury. The book examines the techniques involved in creating a story in a multimedia fashion and how mass media coverage of crime, litigation and corporate scandals have changed juror expectations. It also includes discussion on the research and consulting services used at each stage of a case, including focus groups, witness preparation, mock trials, jury selection and community attitude surveys, shadow juries and post-verdict interviews. It costs $95.
