his is a collection of essays written primarily by senior-level practitioners who specialize in litigation support work. It is organized into six sections, the first of which provides an overview of the litigation environment and important practical considerations, such as where to obtain data, how to manage documents and the art of testifying. The section on commercial and civil cases has articles covering arbitration, bankruptcy, construction damage claims and professional liability suits. Criminal law coverage includes fraud and embezzlement and the accountant's role as an investigator.

Other areas include family and divorce law, the valuation of businesses, the measurement of damages and income tax considerations. Many of the articles have checklists and other practice aids. All of them have bibliographies. This is a very useful reference book that should be acquired by all practitioners who engage in litigation support work or are considering doing so. n
