Lithuania : Special congratulations on Estonia's centenary from the Presidential Palace.

On behalf of the Lithuanian people, President Dalia Grybauskait? offered congratulations, official and unofficial, to President Kersti Kaljulaid and the people of Estonia as they celebrate the Centenary of Independence. The President wished all Estonians continued success and prosperity in the next one hundred years of their national statehood.

Dalia Grybauskait? also sent musical greetings to Estonia. Together with popular Lithuanian performers, the President sang an excerpt from a popular Estonian song Eestlane olen ja Eestlaseks Jn in the White Hall of the Presidential Palace. The song, regarded as the unofficial hymn of Estonia, was recorded in 1988. It united the Estonian people as they stood up against the Soviet oppression at the end of last century.

The legendary song - musical herald of Estonian freedom - was performed together with Lithuanian rock musician Andrius Mamontovas, leader of Antis group Algirdas Kaup?das, Lemon Joy band singer Igoris Kofas, Viktoras Diawara from Skamp, Gabrielius Liaudanskas-Svaras and Kastytis Sarnickas from G&G Sindikatas, opera tenor Rafailas Karpis, singers Ieva Narkut?, Monika Linkyt? and Dovil? Filmanavi?i?t?-Miss Sheep, and members of music bands Antikvariniai Kapirovskio Dantys, alvarinis, and The Roop.

Lithuania will celebrate together with Estonia 100 years of its independence. The Presidential Palace balconies will glow with illuminated signs EE 100. Tomorrow morning the state flags of Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia will be raised and flown until Sunday noon in Daukantas Square.

Saturday evening, February 24, the streets of Vilnius will be decorated in Estonian national colors. Special illuminations will embrace the Hill of Three Crosses and bridges over the Neris river. The Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania will fly the Estonian flag and the Trumpeter of Freedom will appear at window to play the national anthem of Estonia at exactly 19:18 hours in celebration of unity and fraternity.

Estonian colors will also light up the Centennial Bell in Cathedral Square: the capital of Lithuania will send centennial congratulations to Estonia on February 24.
