Lister duo clash again STEVE NASH.

FARLOE TANGO, who thrilled racegoers with a trademark power-packed finish to peg back defending champion Fear Emoski in the heats, is now oddson across-the-board with the offcourse firms for outright honours in the Coral Regency (695m) at Hove, writes Patrick Kelly.

Greyhound racing fans will not have to wait too long for another showdown between the country's top two long-distance performers, as they have again been paired together in the trap draw for next Thursday's semis.

Charlie Lister, their trainer, said: "I didn't think Tango would catch Fear Emoski after being so far behind her early on, but he continues to show fantastic form, and what a great race it was between two great stayers."

The revelation of the first round was Stainless Steel, who clocked an identical time to Farloe Tango (41.28sec) when leading throughout to score by just shy of five lengths from Sinbad in heat two. Paul Young's Irish import is now a best-priced 12-1 to take the title.

Only five runners will go to traps in Thursday's second semifinal as heat winner Boomtown Polly (lame) was withdrawn from the competition on Friday. Trap six will now be vacant.
