Listen, Jane; LETTERS.

Sir - We see that once again Environment Minister Jane Davidson has stated that "planning decisions must be open, fair, consistent and transparent" ("pounds 80m biomass plant put on the back-burner in planning row", June 2).

We have, over the last two years, been writing to Ms Davidson to meet with us to look at our evidence that will prove that planning decisions made by Carmarthenshire County Council are far from fair, open, consistent or transparent. It is all very well Ms Davidson pontificating from her office but it's about time she listened and looked at our (and others') concerns and sorted out the planning system in Carmarthenshire.

Officers and councillors are answerable to no-one, not even to the Welsh Assembly.

It's about time that Jane Davidson stopped making these empty promises and actually did the job she is paid to do under her statutory duties and investigated Carmarthenshire's planning department.
