Lions' main aim is charity fundraising.

A roaring fundraising year is being planned by Cardiff Lions Club.

The charity will meet on Thursday to talk about a series of events taking place in 2005.

Cardiff Lions Club was set up in 1938 and since then has collected thousands of pounds and equipment for a variety of charities and organisations.

Members also meet socially at quiz nights and on trips.

Thursday's open evening will be held at the Three Arches hotel in Heathwood Road, Llanishen, Cardiff, at 7.30pm.

For more details on the club and its work, call Kelvin Redwood on 029 2076 2655 or Irene Williams on 029 2075 6002.
