Linedata Services Chooses Financial Fusion Server to Integrate Portfolio Management Solution; New Site Targets Existing Customers for Financial Services.

Business Editors

CONCORD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 21, 2002

Financial Fusion, Inc. announced today that Linedata Services, a global leader in financial services IT, has chosen Financial Fusion(R) Server with GlobalFIX to enhance its range of portfolio management packages. Linedata Services offers global IT solutions to the financial services market that bring together three complementary services: software packages, solutions integration and facilities management services.

Linedata selected Financial Fusion to enhance its portfolio management package range and to offer its asset manager clients a complete, automated overview of financial order processing. Linedata's key objectives were to standardize order processing and to ensure close interaction between the front-office and back-office. Financial Fusion Server with GlobalFIX directs messages securely, with encryption, to their proper destination while monitoring their status and all circuit connections. Financial Fusion Server manages the distribution of financial messages and supports a broad range of industry protocols: FIX, SWIFT, FpML, GSTPA, Omgeo, EMX, and RITD.

This deal builds upon Linedata's existing relationship with Financial Fusion parent, Sybase, Inc. Linedata currently uses Sybase(R) Adaptive Server(R) Enterprise product as the database for its back-office package. "We have already been partners with Sybase for a long time, and this contract for Financial Fusion Server strengthens our partnership and allows us to count even more on Sybase with respect to our own growth and diversification," says Thierry Soret, Deputy MC, Linedata Services, France.

Within this environment, Financial Fusion Server acts as a 'binder' between the various software components of the Linedata Services offering. "Its full-featured technical and functional aspects make Financial Fusion Server a widely distributed financial EAI solution that assures its long-term viability," continues Thierry Soret. "This strategy involves a very high level of integration between the various software components of our range and especially between the front-office and back-office tools."

"Financial Fusion is happy to work with customers like Linedata to offer premier message connectivity that accelerates STP and consequently improves the products and services our clients offer their customers," said John Treadway, senior vice president, Financial Fusion, Inc. "With our parent company, Sybase, Financial Fusion has a geographic reach for sales and support that none of our competitors can match."
