Lindsey hit lifts NE over Irish.

Markus Lindsey had a bases-loaded single to score Steven Humble for the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh, lifting North Eugene to a 7-6 Midwestern League baseball victory over visiting Sheldon on Monday.

Trailing 6-5, Brandon Saboe singled to open the seventh for the Highlanders and scored the tying run on an error.

Churchill 12, Marshfield 2: Justin Hoffman belted a leadoff home run, Jacob Franke was 3-for-4 with a two-run triple, and pitcher Andrew Schumacher had an RBI triple to lead the Lancers to the road win.

Thurston 8, Willamette 7: Jordan Gross singled in Andrew Harris with the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth to lift the Colts.

Lebanon 10, Springfield 0: Mike Greene tossed a one-hitter with seven strikeouts and no walks in five innings to lead the Warriors to the home victory.

Monroe 11, Alsea 4: Devin Simmons struck out 10 in six innings, and Kurt Hartshorn and Nick Payne had three hits apiece to lead the visiting Dragons to the Trico League win.

Waldport 13, Central Linn 11: Beau Biron had a home run and two RBIs and Kevin Battles was 3-for-3 to lead the host Irish.

Harrisburg 5, Lowell 2: Cameron Souers had three RBIs to lead the Eagles to the road win.

Oakridge 7, Mapleton 4: Jon Young was 4-for-4 to lead the visiting Warriors.

Jefferson 10, Crow 0: Lingo Diaz allowed one hit over five innings, and Fernando Guzman and Preston George each had two RBIs to lead the host Lions.

Mohawk 7, McKenzie 5: Brandon Young struck out eight in four-plus innings and Jason Wilkins had three RBIs for the host Indians.

Softball

Churchill 9, Marshfield 0: Kelly Dyer tossed a no-hitter, and Carrie Boothe hit a home run to lift the host Lancers to the Midwestern League win.

Sheldon 10, North Eugene 0: Chloe Buerstatte was 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, and Theresa Brown added three RBIs for the host Irish.

Thurston 3, Willamette 0: Amanda Miller tossed a one-hitter with eight strikeouts and no walks to lift the visiting Colts.

Lebanon 16, Springfield 10: Heather Krause was 5-for-5 with a double and three RBIs and Rose Ragsdale was 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs for the visiting Warriors.

Waldport 11, Central Linn 0: Laura Quirion scattered two hits over five innings to lift the host Irish to the Trico League win.

Harrisburg 19, Lowell 3: Claire Duncan had a double for the host Eagles, who scored 14 runs in the fourth.

Oakridge 11, Blanchet 9: Morgan Nelson hit a game-winning three-run double in the bottom of the seventh for the Warriors.

Yoncalla 14, UVC 4: Barbara Rojo, Charlie Van Loon and Nikki Evarts had two hits each to lift the host Eagles to the Big Fir win.
