Limerick: Tycoon eyes Leger windfall.

DEERFIELD TYCOON, who reached the third round of the English Derby, turned in a spectacular display in his semi-final of the Golden Vale Irish St Leger at Limerick.

A week after his kennel mate, Deerfield Felix, made a shock exit, Deerfield Tycoon ran the fastest time at the track this year, winning in 30.01sec for Bryan Dalton and trainer Ger McKenna.

Draw for Saturday's final: 1 Shanless Park, 2 Glassy Buttons, 3 Deerfield Tycoon, 4 Extra Dividend, 5 Upward Star, 6 Crossleigh Fudge.
