Lighting Source Inc to open plant in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania.

Lightning Source Inc, an international book manufacturer that also develops publishing and logistical solutions, is to establish its newest North American facility in the Lehigh Valley, according to Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell.

The move is expected to add 150 jobs in the region within three years.

The commonwealth is reportedly supporting Lightning Source's expansion into Pennsylvania by offering the company a USD750,000 financial package that includes USD300,000 through the Opportunity Grant Program and USD450,000 in Job Creation Tax Credits. In addition the company is eligible to apply for a USD6m loan through the Citizens Job Bank programme.

Lightning Source will establish its third manufacturing facility at the Boulder Business Center in Breinigsville, Upper Macungie Township, in an existing 130,000 square foot building.
