Life after dancing.

The incomparable Chita Rivera will receive the Rolex Dance Award at "One World," the Career Transition For Dancers' 21st Anniversary Jubilee at City Center on Oct. 23. The benefit raises the funds CTFD needs to continue its career counseling outreach programs, and the educational scholarships they provide to dancers who are making post-performing plans. The most diverse billing yet features gems like flamenca Pilar Rioja, Dance China NY, Chicago's Luna Negra, and a rare appearance by Robert Hill's Ballet de Monterrey, as well as dancers from American Ballet Theatre and the Joffrey Ballet. Also honored is the Rudolf Nureyev Dance Foundation, and Tony-award winning star Sutton Foster makes a special appearance. See www.careertransition.org
