Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?
According to the US Declaration of Independence, all men are created equal and have certain unalienable rights including "life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness".
However, it seems there is a different rule if you are a Palestinian.
Life? With more than 1,700 killed in four weeks compared to 65 Israelis?
Who are the terrorists? You do the maths.
Liberty? That seems further away than the stars.
There is nowhere to bury dead bodies. Dead children are being stored in ice cream freezers. How can we sleep knowing this?
When you next open your fridge, imagine freezing a loved one on its cold shelves. Would you still be able to grab a bite and watch a movie?
Have our feelings gone numb?
In the name of humanity we must be ashamed at the status of our sisters and brothers in Palestine.
We cannot even offer a plastic bandage without Israeli blessing. These people are deprived of every thinkable liberty you could imagine. Pursuit of happiness? Palestinians have none, in life nor in death.
Shame on mankind, but remember what goes around comes around.
