Lien Thi (Vu) Hoang.
She leaves her husband of over 60 years, Ty van Hoang; eight children, daughter- Ly Hoang Tran and husband Chi Tran and three children of Ohio, daughter- Bich Ngoc Hoang Vu and husband Hung Vu and three children of Massachusetts, daughter-Hanh Hoang Tran and husband Hien Tran and two children of Massachusetts, daughter-Hoa Le Tran and husband Dung Tran and 3 children of Massachusetts, son-Quoc Hoang and wife Annie Hoang and two children of Massachusetts, son- Chuong Hoang and wife Thuy Hoang and three children of Massachusetts, son- Long Hoang and wife Shannon Hoang and two children of Massachusetts, daughter- Trang Hoang of Massachusetts, Godson- Diep Vu and wife Chau Vu and three children of Massachusetts. She also leaves her sisters Phuong Vu Suu Nguyen of Ha Noi, Viet Nam and her brother Nhan Vu of Lowell, Massachusetts and many nephews and nieces across Vietnam and the United States.
She was born and raised in Ha Noi, Vietnam, daughter of Yen Ngoc Vu and Mui Thi Le and moved to the United States and settled in Worcester in 1975. Mrs. Hoang owned and operated Hoangs Restaurant for many years and also worked as a seamstress at St. Joseph's Abbey Spencer for over 20 years, retiring in 2002. She was a member of Our Lady of Vilna Church, a former member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church and was a very giving person who was always there to help those in need.
Mrs. Hoang's Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 24, from CALLAHAN FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Vilna Church, 151 Sterling Street. Burial will follow in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury. Visiting hours will be held on Friday, March 23rd from 5-8 PM at the funeral home.
