Byline: steve Hendry

Lie To Me Thursday, Sky One, 10pm Fresh from sprouting wings in fantasy drama Skellig, Tim Roth returns to TV screens as human lie detector Dr Cal Lightman, an expert in deception who can tell if people are lying by looking at their faces.

Apparently, the average person tells three lies every 10 minutes and Lightman can tell if someone is telling the truth or not through body language - the scratch of a nose, shrug of a shoulder, twitch of an eyebrow. You'll be scrutinising your nearest and dearest for the rest of the night..
