Libya, Yemen, Syria.

I recently read an article published in your newspaper regarding EU envoys visiting Libya for the first time since 2014. That's quite a development. When I read it, it filled me with the greatest hope that perhaps finally the conflict in Libya is coming to an end, that perhaps the Libyans have realised that they need to unite in order to strongly oppose a greater threat of destruction from the Islamic State. As a former resident who lived there for 27 years, I considered it home and I have love for the place and the people. I would still love to go back if given a chance, even just to see old places and people that I knew. Nothing really big has happened yet, there are still those opposing the UN-backed government but I hope for all the very best for the country and its people. I hope they can resolve their differences without guns and death. I hope for peace in all countries that are affected by turmoil. I am aware that there are talks going on in Syria and Yemen too and am hoping that there will be some big improvement to the situations there. I hope the violence stops for the sake of the citizens who just want to live normal, peaceful lives. The conflict in these countries have gone on for too long, it's time for it to stop. It's time for people living in those countries to get their lives back.
