Liam just wants to have fun! WALTON Youngster makes it into Liverpool One squad.

A WALTON youngster has been chosen as part of a squad that will test out fun activities in the city centre.

Liverpool One set out on a search for the most fun loving youngsters in the region.

After scouring the North West, the 'Fun Squad' has been found in the form of five youngsters, including 12-year-old Liam Evison from Walton.

The retail and leisure destination began their search in April when they invited children, aged 6 to 13, to tell Liverpool One what their favourite thing to do for fun is.

The judges wanted to find young people who know how to have fun who can oversee the fun at its newest attraction, The Dome. As well as advising on fun, Liam and the Fun Squad will also be sent on Fun Squad missions that will see them reviewing Liverpool ONE experiences and events.

The next mission for Liam will be to review an experience at Pizza Express at Liverpool One where him and his family will make their own pizza.

Liam said: "In my spare time I like to have fun, so the opportunity to have a go at making my own pizza is very exciting.

"I feel very lucky to be a member of the Fun Squad and can't wait to do more exciting things."

Donna Howitt, Marketing Director at Liverpool One, said: "The winners were those children who demonstrated that they know how to have the most fun.

"Competition for a place in the Fun Squad was fierce and we had a tough choice.

"The Fun Squad is the barometer of fun at The Dome and Liverpool One and the group will ensure our activities appeal to children of all ages.

"It's an exciting job and the team will play a part in deciding what we do.

"We congratulate Liam and the rest of the Fun Squad on fighting off tough competition to be chosen as part of the fun squad.

"It's an exciting year ahead for all at Liverpool One."
