Lexisnexis Butterworths Canada in negotiations to purchase Quicklaw.
Quicklaw is Canada's largest single source of full-text Canadian court, board and tribunal decisions, and the largest collection of caselaw summaries. Its case citator, QuickCite, contains parallel citations, case histories, citing cases and judicial treatments, while the service provides access to 2500 databases of statutory materials, caselaw, current awareness newsletters and legal commentary. Quicklaw offers access to collections from Canada, Ireland, U.S., U.K., the European Union, Australia, Africa, Malaysia and the Caribbean.
LexisNexis Butterworths produces books, journals, newsletters, loose-leaf services, law reports, newspapers and online services for the legal and accountancy fields. It has 135 subscription products. Titles include The Ontario Reports, a weekly law report, The Lawyers Weekly, a newspaper for the legal market, and The Bottom Line, a newspaper for accountants.
