Lewis to consult for Spielberg.

HOLLYWOOD DreamWorks co-head of international distribution and marketing Gerry Lewis will retire from his post in September to become an overseas marketing consultant to Steven Spielberg.

Meanwhile, Jonathan Chissick, who has overseen international distribution and marketing along with Lewis since August 1997, will take over sole responsibility for the studio's overseas operations.

Chissick will work with United Intl. Pictures and Korean distribution/equity partner Cheil on all upcoming DreamWorks releases.

Lewis has inked a three-year* deal to consult on the international marketing of all films directed by Spielberg, whether they are released by DreamWorks or another studio. He'll also represent Spielberg's interests on foreign releases of any sequels to projects produced under Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment banner.
