Levi Strauss to open in Manhattan.

The first retail Store carrying Levi Strauss apparel exclusively will open soon in Manhattan, according to a long-term lease transaction arranged by Garrick-Aug Associates Store Leasing, Inc., it was announced.

The 6,300-square-foot Levi's Original Jeans Store will be located on the ground floor of 750 Lexington Avenue, fronting the avenue directly across from Bloomingdale's department store. Ron Rosenblat, Garrick-Aug senior vice president, said that the store is scheduled to open in time for the Christmas holiday shopping season. It will offer only Levi Strauss apparel.

Rosenblat negotiated the long-term retail lease on behalf of Designs, Inc., the Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts-based chain store owner and operator. The building owner, Cohen Brothers Realty, negotiated directly with Rosenblat.
