Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed The Glimpses 'Chief's Pipe' article in the current issue of Whispering Wind (Vol. 35 # 6). It is always my favorite section.

I like the old photos of the 1800s--the Cheyenne men in the picture on page 13 are very handsome. I think many of the Indian people were quite beautiful, and three of them look like brothers to me.

Also wanted to voice my opinion on a picture on page 36. My favorite powwow attire is of the lady in the middle of the bottom picture. She seems to be very traditional in the old ways. (1800s) The shells attached to her dress and the color remind me of the olden times. Good-looking belt, too.

As you can tell, I like the old styles and especially the old Crow style of bustles. I just don't care for all of the fancy items and beading on today's powwow articles of clothing.

I enjoy the magazine so much.
