Letters: A wonderful time was had by all in Tenerife; Sharron Murgatroyd reports on the Injured Jockeys' Fund holiday.

Byline: Sharron Murgatroyd

HAVING just returned from yet another brilliant Injured Jockeys' Fund holiday in Tenerife, I would like to

express my thanks to all those who made it possible.

It may not have been all

holiday for the almoners, who work so hard, but their unstinting efforts ensured that everybody else had a great time.

I know that some people would view so many maimed and wounded ex-jockeys

together as a sad sight, but this could not be farther from the truth. Indeed, one invited guest who gave up his own time to entertain us, observed: "What an extraordinary, wonderful, loud, happy and hilarious time we all had."

So sincere thanks go to the Trustees and everyone who supports the IJF.
