Letter war on between IBF factions.

THE vendetta between factions led by Abhay Singh Chautala and P. K. Muralidharan Raja is now wide open with the former complaining to the International Boxing Association ( AIBA) against a meeting of the suspended Indian Boxing Federation's ( IBF) state units called on February 23.

First, it was the Chautala- led group which decided on March 4 as the date for an annual general body meeting.

It was, however, cancelled after the Raja- led group wrote to AIBA claiming the meeting was illegal since the world body doesn't recognise any IBF officebearers.

Now, the Chautala- led group has hit back with a similar complaint.

Rajesh Bhandari, a former IBF official, on Tuesday wrote to Kishen Narsi, AIBA's representative in India, informing him about the February 23 meeting.

The mail, in possession of M AIL T ODAY , read: " They claim that they have AIBA approval for the meeting, called by Mr.

Asit Banerjee on February, 23, 2013, and misleading the members." Banerjee is the spokesperson of the Raja group. Banerjee told M AIL T ODAY it will not hold the meeting if AIBA gives such a direction.

The purpose of the meeting, according to Banerjee, is to form an ad- hoc committee to conduct state and national- level championships, and decide on the date of an annual general body meeting.

Bhandari also complained to the world body against a meeting that the Rajaled group held late last month.
