Letter: your view - OH DEARY.

Byline: Dave Haskell

OH DEARY, deary me, what a calamitous situation!

It does appear the French (EDF Energy) have gone nuclear and now have us in a full-nelson and we really have no option but to submit - to our chagrin we must hope the Spanish (Iberdrola) and the French (EDF) bear us no animosity over Trafalgar and will let bygones be bygones.

On a positive note we should remember that the Germanic people (E.ON) were our allies at Waterloo.

We must hope that losing two world wars will not colour their thinking - it is a funny old world, now where did I put my lederhosen and those candles?

I was going to mention that our strategic reserve power at Dinorwig and Ffestiniog is now owned by the Japanese (Mitsui), but surely that is being a bit too cynical?
