Letter: pounds 42m of bling.

Byline: IAN MCNICHOLAS

SIR - On the very same news broadcast which informed us that seriously ill and severely disabled children in Wales are being subjected to horrendous delays and non-availability of wheelchairs, due to appallingly low funding levels and poor administration, the First Minister informed us that pounds 42m was going to be allocated, without any discussion whatsoever, to blinging up the Welsh Office buildings in Cathays Park They are already the luxurious headquarters of some of the most sybaritically pampered civil servants in the principality.

Is it really any surprise that even the most traditionallyminded voters in Wales are turning away in their droves from the morally bankrupt Labour Party and their equally morally bereft minions in Plaid Cymru, without whose cringing sycophantic support they would not be able to maintain their stranglehold on our long-suffering people?
