Letter: Yousay - Beautiful memory.

Byline: By John R. Jones

IN recent weeks the war memorial for the 1914-18 conflict respecting the Post Office fallen has been relocated in the new shopping mall on Whitechapel.

Due to family commitments I was not able to attend the re-dedication but on March 21I was able to show my respect with my own visit.

As a retired Post Office employee I was familiar with the previous location in Head Post Office, Victoria Street.

May I say that from a personal point of view the re-location and lower aspect of the memorial has enhanced the beauty and poignancy of the statue.

May I thank all persons who were involved in the new location of this fine memorial to fallen comrades.

John R. Jones, Woolton
