Letter: Yourview - Sticky.

Byline: Ian Taylor

I'M 72 and was brought up on Heilan' Coo toffee, made by McCowans, whose Stenhousemuir factory is under threat of closure.

Two years ago, my wife and I were travelling to Australia to visit our daughter and her family. At customs in Dubai, I was told to open my suitcase.

When I emptied it, the culprit was a slab of McCowans toffee in a tinfoil tray complete with a little hammer for breaking it.

I had quite a job explaining this was sweeties for the weans.
