Letter: Your view - What a state.

Byline: Frank Munro

AFTER watching the Co-operative Insurance Cup semi-finals last week, I can well understand the complaints that have been made regarding the state of the Hampden pitch.

It was nothing short of a disgrace.

People have been quick to criticise fans for failing to turn up to the midweek games, but who could blame them due to the cost of the tickets and the state of the pitch?

Football authorities should never have given these games the green light to be played at the National Stadium in the first place. Tynecastle and Easter Road should have been used instead.
