Letter: Your Say - We must protect sex girls; in association with POST OFFICE.

Byline: Ian Payne

IT IS about time this country legalised prostitution. I am sure legalisation would help many prostitutes to survive and be more safe generally.

Allowing prostitutes, who are mainly very young women, to live and work on the streets selling their bodies for sex is not a situation a civilised country like ours should tolerate or accept. Why we do is a mystery to me.

I also think the person or persons meeting out violence to these women should receive the death penalty. It is something our lords and masters should consider reintroducing as a matter of urgency.

The Suffolk tragedies should not be a news item for the media to turn away from when things calm down and when the culprit or culprits are caught.
