Letter: Your Say - To The Point.

Byline: Rt Hon Bob

WHEN a military aircraft fears it is under attack from a missile, it throws out flares and chaff to confuse the missile and thereby survive the attack.

The various replies to my letter on armed forces funding from local Conservatives have been much the same.

I simply asked that if Tories thought we were letting our troops down, would they spend more?

Those who have followed this debate on the letters page will recognise that none of the replies said that a future Tory government would or should do so. All we got was chaff.

The Rt Hon Bob Ainsworth MP, Coventry North East.
