Letter: Your Say - Society of two halves.

Byline: Les Bates

TODAY we have two Britains; one where we have the "normal" hard working and law abiding families and in the second Britain we have gun and knife crime coming from mainly one-parent families who could not care less where their "feral offspring" are.

For years we have had boozing and drug taking 'low-lifes' who think it's normal to do what they like, knowing full well that the judges are a soft touch.

For the last 30 years we have had the benefit culture passed down from family to family and government to government; teenagers having kids with no morals, no respect and expecting the taxpayers to fund them from cradle to grave because no one's done anything about it. That's our Britain today.

We are the laughing stock of the world because we are a soft touch and it's been abused.

Is it any wonder millions have left these shores because of crime? What was once "Great Britain" has gone forever.

Les Bates, Kingstanding
