Letter: Your Say - Joking aside...

Byline: CT Reynolds

I WOULD like to thank the two ladies who assisted me following a fall on an escalator in The Pallasades.

One kindly gave me a tissue to stem a little bleeding and a plaster for a deeper wound.

The real hurt was the fact that neither smiled at my feeble jokes, made to assure them that I was unharmed. With some justification, they regarded them as the ramblings of a stricken old man.
