Letter: Your Say - Gas bill battle.

Byline: Adrian Scott

HAVING read in Monday's Mail of Theresa Macdonald and her problems with British Gas, perhaps you may highlight my disgusting treatment by them.

In September 2005 British Gas sent me a bill for pounds 90 for gas used from June.

I told them several times I did not owe that amount. I had six final demands, plus the threat of my supply being cut off in the presence of a JP, police officers and a gas fitter. In December I was sent a bill for pounds 391 and put this into the hands of Energywatch in Civic House.

Eventually British Gas phoned me for a reading. The bill from June 2005 to January 2006 was pounds 73.

Did British Gas say sorry? Did they heck.
