Letter: Your Say - Forgot Finegan.

Byline: CHRIS ABBOTT

YOUR correspondent Councillor George Robert Dunning (Figuring It Out, 4.2.08) is once again selective in his attempts to defend criticism of the most wasteful decision to spend pounds 125,000 on the soon to be demolished Redcar & Cleveland Town Hall and Finegan Hall.

He refers only to the Town Hall and forgets to mention Finegan Hall. But we are correct and the figures were provided to us by his own officers.

It is Cllr Dunning who is inaccurate.

The Lib Dem press statement he refers to made it clear.

Labour are "Spending pounds 125,000 on the soon to be demolished Redcar & Cleveland Town Hall and James Finegan Hall, whilst making stringent cuts in public services..."

CHRIS ABBOTT, Leader of the Liberal Democrat Group, Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council
