Letter: Your Say - Bottle no substitute; In association with POST OFFICE.

Byline: Catherine Jones

WITH reference to the article "Three ways to help a father bond with his baby" ( Mail, April 8), it is far better for the baby to be breast fed by the mother totally for six months than to be bottle fed.

Many women breast feed totally for nearly a year and wean by the second.

This is good for the child and the mother's health and the father can bond in other ways.

Nature knows best and the father should encourage the mother to breast feed to help the child and the mother.

Men and women have been defined different roles by nature. They are meant to complete each other and not compete with each other.

Please think of the child who should be breast fed. Breast is best.
