Letter: Your Say: Nip flu threat in the bud.

IF the latest warnings are true and the next flu epidemic to hit Britain could kill more than a quarter of a million people, why is this government doing nothing? Why is it not closing the borders?

Then there is bird flu. Why isn't this council or government not culling pigeons, which spread disease from bird droppings?

Any epidemic must be nipped in the bud now and vital vaccines should be offered to the young and old.
