Letter: Your Poem: Liverpool/New York.

The figures of our city streets are riven deep within us.

Dooley's Christ onPrince's Boulevard My Nana's house on Bedford Road. The ale house seething, the wine bar roaring The Roscoe, theTap, theCoburg and Yates We think of those across the sea.

The city's scar surrounds these streets where other souls go sailing out other scenes in another port.

On Long Island,Brooklyn and pier 54.

Manhattan in startling sunlight who know the world from the Liverpool river the Atlantic hymn to broken dreams. How beautiful is love that sweetens all we call down the Lennon night. Shattered lives define our worth our children pouring forth figures of joy they defeat the dark Sweet Liverpool and New York.
