Letter: You say - Has to be Asda.

Byline: Rose Heffy

I AM writing regarding the recent news that ASDA want to come to Kirkby. Yippee I say.

At last we have the option available that gives regeneration without a football stadium. Knowsley council now need to stop their discussions with Tesco and give us residents the chance to see how the ASDA plan will be achieved.

This is nothing less than we deserve. Over the last 12 months we have been bombarded with propaganda for Tesco, let's see if Knowsley council print off nice glossy brochures for the ASDA option.

I doubt they will as Knowsley have constantly told Kirkby residents we can only have regeneration with a football stadium.

Funny, but that's not what I am reading, not what I am hearing, and above all not what I am believing. We can have our cake and eat it, trouble is I don't think the council will like the fact that it's an ASDA cake we want.
