Letter: You say - Fast track fury.

Byline: Mr T. Ruth

I WAS very disappointed on a recent visit to Liverpool John Lennon Airport when I encountered the new "fast lane" system.

There are two entrance gates, the first is free to enter, the second can only be accessed using a fast lane card which can be bought from the machines throughout the terminal building for pounds 2 (or 4 euros).

The entrance for non-paying customers is tiny - about a quarter the size of the fast lane entrance - thus ensuring non-paying customers have to take their place at the back of a massive queue. This vastly increases the chances of ordinary customers missing their flight and increases anxiety when catching a flight.

I feel that by introducing this system, Liverpool John Lennon Airport are effectively holding their customers to ransom. They have created a problem and then offer a solution at a price.
